Crab cavity cryomodule test in M7 bunker (DQW_CM1, I)

Europe/Zurich
Katarzyna Turaj (CERN), Nuria Valverde Alonso (CERN)

Summary of the meeting:

  • Jumper fabrication: Drawings are ready. Fabrication at CERN has been launched (Simon, Myriam).
  • "Griffes": These need to be welded on the cryolines on the service module. Nuria will discuss with CRG when this can be done. The "griffes" still need to be fabricated (MME).
  • Jacks: The same jacks used for the previous CM will be used. Spacing plates LHCACFH0115 (for ground) and LHCACFVT0149 (for cryomodules) are to be fabricated (Simon). When ready, Nuria will contact V. Rude for installation.
  • Vacuum instrumentation:
    • VAZAC sensors have been added to drawing LHCACF_A0085. however drawings needs to be modified to have the HAZAC on jumper side (Julien)
    • Francesco will check if they are available for the next cryomodule (CM2) for installation in M7 around March 26.
    • Two interface plates LHCACFVT0148 are needed for the VPI junction boxes (Simon).
  • Instrumentation cabinet: Thierry will provide the dimensions to Julien so he can design the support.
  • Helium guard: Waiting for confirmation from CRG regarding the use of the safety blow-off valve for the interface design. Thierry or Laurent will provide information about the pressure sensors for the fabrication of the helium-guard interfaces.
  • Rack instrumentation: The rack will be moved from the bunker to outside. Thierry will start this activity in January.
