If we decide on conference proceedings, we might do as in ACP2021 by using arXiv. We can re-use the previous proceedings guidelines and template with appropriate modifications. We will have to review the contributions ourselves as done in ACP2021.

17:30 → 17:40 ASP2024/ ACP2025 sponsors

We received ICTP proposal approval. We are expected feedback from IUPAP proposal submission. We should start approaching sponsors. If you are a contact person for any sponsors, or if you know of other potential sponsors, you should start engaging these sponsors. A generic proposal is available and can easily be adapted for different sponsors / requirements.

17:40 → 17:50 ASP2026/ ACP2027 proposals

We received 3 bids to host ASP2026 from Kenya, Madagascar and Uganda. In addition, we have contacted Benin, Ethiopia and Tanzania whose bids for ASP2022 were not successful; we asked them if they want their proposal to be reconsidered for ASP2026, in which case they should send an updated version by September 30, 2023.

You should start reading the bids at your leisure. After ACP2023, we will interview the candidates and make final decision by December 2023. We will also select the host of ACP2027.

While that is going on, we will open the student application process for ASP2024. Then we may still be working on the report of ACP2023 and the proceedings of ACP2023—it is a lot that will go on starting October 2023.
