Gauge theory at strong coupling, isomonodromy problem and non perturbative string

We will outline a connection between the Renormalization Group Flow of a class of N=2 supersymmetric gauge theories and isomonodromy problems of flat connections on the punctured Riemann sphere. The associated tau-functions can be obtained from a scaling limit of a non-perturbative completion of topological strings, and can be used to compute gauge theory partition functions in the magnetic and Argyres-Douglas frames.
