Abstract: In the recent work of Gadde et. al. the superconformal index introduced by Kinney et. al. is used to connect the generalized S-duality transformation of N=2 superconformal 4d gauge theories to 2d topological field theories. The invariance under these S-duality transformations is manifested as the associativity of the operator algebra of the topological theory. In this talk, the argument by Gadde et. al. is presented.
