Description
Results from particle tracking using the LHC collimation system in Sixtrack and MADX to determine local signatures of the particle losses due to abrupt crab cavity failures. Detailed scans to determine specifications on fast cavity failures is derived to ensure machine preotection during the LHC cycle at ultimate intensities. Some aspects of upgrade optics is also studied.
