On the Stress Tensor Light-ray Operator Algebra

Abstract

I will discuss properties of Light-ray operators built from the Stress Tensor in CFTs. Such operators have previously been argued to satisfy a particular type of algebra, and I will report on the status of this algebra. I will present explicit calculations for free field theories and holographic CFTs, and discuss the AdS shock-wave geometries dual to these operators.
