The HEPTech Best Practice webinar “Software” will take place on 23 June 2021, online, from 14.00 to 15.30 h (CET).

The webinar is aiming to reveal the opportunities for Digital Innovations in the HEP area with focus on Software (IP, Licensing & Startups).

 

The lecturer will be Dr. Rick Anderson, founder of Formeric, an STFC software spinout company developing tools for accessible computer aided formulation. https://formeric.co.uk/solution/

Dr. Rick Anderson, will discuss about different topics connected with software licensing: Software Disclosure Forms, open source software licensing policy and advice, routes to exploitation through different business model and Licensing options.

This presentation will be dedicated to a more broad public of scientists, potential entrepreneurs and Technology Transfer Officers.

The second lecturer will be Mrs. Elizabeth Bain, IP & Licensing Manager at  STFC, UK. She will present STFC's strategies, policies and processes for capturing and managing the software created in its labs.

This presentation will be beneficial especially for the staff of the Technology transfer offices involved in management of digital innovations and to all people interested in the topic of digital innovations.
