Maria Toms
Maria is a doctoral student and engineer at NRC "Kurchatov Institute" (ITEP) in Moscow and has been working in CMS Collaboration since 2012. She got her Master in physics at National Research Nuclear University (MEPhI) where she worked on cross-section measurements of vector boson fusion processes. Recently she served 2 years as an Operations coordinator of HCAL subsystem in CMS. Currently she is working as part of the CMS Shifts Organization team and is fulfilling several safety roles at CMS experiment.
Archie Sharma
I am a post doc researcher at RWTH Aachen (Germany ) and has been a part of the CMS collaboration since 2007. I got my PhD from Panjab University Chandigarh, and working on the muon detectors since then. During PhD, I worked on the Resistive Plate chambers (RPCs), while later I was associated with CMS Bari (Italy) group for developing the simulations tools and the commissioning of Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) detectors. Currently I am working as a run coordinator for the another muon detectors, the Drift Tube (DT), managing and coordinating the various commissioning activities for preparing the detector for the next year collisions.
