The conference centre offers excellent chalet-style accomodation. There are 15 rooms, mostly with 4 beds in "bunk"
formation. They are
spaciously arranged in 1970s-style pinewood design. Each bedroom has its own toilet, shower, four single
beds, vanity unit and writing desk. We strongly encourage you to choose this option, not only for the
opportunity of working and playing with other Geant4 colleagues in a comfortable environment, but also
for
value - the total cost of bed and breakfast is only £20 per person per night. Of course, this requires
your willingness to share, and
we offer you the chance to make up your own group and specify on the Registration Form. Also, since we
have use of all 15 rooms, the mean occupancy might well be less than 4, depending on total take-up of
this
option. Note that for this accommodation, priority will be given to those wishing to stay 6 nights or more.
For those who do not wish to share, or simply want more luxury, there are the following opportunities in and around the town of Hebden Bridge, most within a quarter of a mile. You are responsible for making your own bookings. In most cases, rooms have been held for workshop participants and special terms (discounts) are available for booking before a stated date. Rooms cannot be guaranteed after that date. It is advisable to book as soon as possible to assure availability and discounts. Please quote "Geant4 Workshop" or give the name "John Allison".

An old inn with about 10 rooms, some in the main building, some in the "coach house". Only 300 m from the conference centre. Single occupancy £48. Book before 12th August for reserved rooms. Unfortunately already occupied for the night of Saturday 15th September, but see special terms for possible alternative arrangements for Saturday night. -
Angeldale Guest House
A traditional English guest house in quiet road close to town centre and conference centre. Mostly twin bedded rooms. From £29 shared, more for single occupancy. Book before 2nd August for reserved rooms and special terms. -
Holme House
Centrally located. Traditional bed and breakfast from £35 shared, £55 single occupancy. There is also an apartment. Book before 10th August for reserved rooms and special terms. -
Myrtlegrove
1 room, near conference centre. Vegetarian food. Other options, e.g., cottage to rent, from web site. Book before 12th August for reserved room and special terms. -
Hare and Hounds
Pub bed and breakfast, on the hill behind the conference centre. 3/4 mile (400 feet vertical) - good sobering walk after a night out (or take a taxi, £3). 5 rooms. Book before early August for reserved room and special terms. -
Mount Skip
Country bed and breakfast, on t'tops (on the top of the hills) behind the conference centre. 1 mile (600 feet vertical!) - good exercise. 3 rooms, including a family room. Book before early August for reserved room and special terms. -
Apartments, cottages, houses
If you are coming with family or as a party, you may like to rent an apartment, a cottage or a house. As well as the apartment in Holme House mentioned above, which you may book yourself, there are other possibilities. Please contact me with your requirements and I will try to find you something. -
