0. Ongoing Action List

Updated in Savannah task list.

1. Production Issues

Elisa added a list of issues to the agenda.
1. The space token was suddenly full, due to a user over-using the space. Elisa asked for a quota system. Andrei commented that such a system is foreseen but still not implemented. A task has been opened.
2. GlExec: are we going to use it? The question is mostly for management, it's a political issue, and is not for us. Elisa commented that PIC is ready to help in testing. Stuart commented that testing from a VO point of view is a lot of work. A production task will be assigned to Philippe to raise this question at the next GDB.
3. SAM: false (?) alarms and criticalities. SRM unit test is sometimes failing for not clear reasons. The LFC streams test should be reviewed, probably just with a larger timeout.
4. Pilots CPU efficiency: it has improved in the last months.
5. Squid server installed at PIC. It should be tested. Discussions going on between Ricardo and Andrei on the best way to do it.

There have also been some discussions on monitoring the memory usage. Stuart would like to have a possibility to prevent so many jobs from being killed by the batch systems because using too much memory. It would be ideal to know at any time how much memory is being used. Ricardo commented that calculating it could be difficult, and also he's not sure if it would be really useful, because before handling these jobs, it's possible that the batch system will kill them anyway (memory can be requested very quickly).

2. DIRAC Release Update

- Upcoming v5r7 release.
Compiled after 3 or 4 pre-release. It will be installed today, and has also to be installed in the release area at CERN.

3. DIRAC Tasks

- Accounting
Discussed the possibility to remove the WMS history from the accounting

4. AOB

Ricardo worked on the Installation/Configuration script so that it is backword compatible. The page with the installation procedures will be reviewed.

The task list is available via the Savannah DIRAC group ( Task List ). If you are not already registered please do so at the Savannah page. In order to streamline the time spent during PASTE on the actions list only tasks in the status 'ToBeDiscussed' will be discussed there. In case some actions fall by the wayside they will automatically be updated to this status. Therefore the action assignees should take care to update this. For ongoing actions it is advantageous to report any progress in the Savannah tasks each week.
