0. Ongoing Action List

Updated in Savannah task list.

1. Production Issues

The release v5r7 introduced a couple of bugs. Some transfers were not properly monitored, and some replica was not registered. Andrew made a hotfix, and now replicas are properly registered.

Some discussions came up yesterday regarding the certification procedures, since these bugs should have been spotted. The normal test chain is 3 production, with the first being MC. The certification chain didn't went through completely in this case, because of a change in the Oracle schema.

A production with staging input data should probably be added to the certification chain.
Stuart propose to test a number of workflows, that would be able to test (almost) everything. This would add many hours to the certification procedures, and certainly a lot of manual work. Last version of software, and processing passes should be specified. At the moment, there are no scripts to automatize this procedures.

Patch releases should probably used more, when there's no need for a complete certification chain test.

Probably release with schema changes should be treated differently, in order to avoid adjustments of the schema made by hand directly on the production machines.

Stuart is going to make a task on himself.

2. DIRAC Release Update

- v5r8 release.
Mostly a collection of patches (~12). Not yet installed in the AFS area.

The AFS part of a release should probably be done the LHCb release manager. The only thing that has to be done by the DIRAC release manager should be to make the appropriate tags in svn.

3. DIRAC Tasks

- ResourceStatus System status
Everything done on the service site. Matvey is working on the web part.
- Bookkeeping status
v5r7 was changing the client side, and changing the oracle storage procedure. In v5r8 there are a couple of fixes. Problems with opening connections to Oracle are being solved.
- WMS status
Fix to the failover. All users file will be duplicated from the job: the second site is chosen randomly from the remaining ones.
- DMS status
Few feautures went into the release.

4. AOB

WMS history plots have some gaps. Some records seems to be missing.

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.

The task list is available via the Savannah DIRAC group ( Task List ). If you are not already registered please do so at the Savannah page. In order to streamline the time spent during PASTE on the actions list only tasks in the status 'ToBeDiscussed' will be discussed there. In case some actions fall by the wayside they will automatically be updated to this status. Therefore the action assignees should take care to update this. For ongoing actions it is advantageous to report any progress in the Savannah tasks each week.
