Large Charge and D-branes

Abstract

I will first discuss what we can learn from holography about the large-charge expansion of SCFT with higher rank gauge groups. Next I will explain how the ideas from the large-charge expansion help to resolve some confusions in the literature on the holographic computation of correlation functions of heavy operators dual to D-branes in AdS. I will end with comments on possible applications of the idea to LLM geometries and fuzzballs.
