Description
Agenda: - Summary of the week in CCC (Bernard, Markus, JPhilippe) - Cases to be studied for re-commissioning procedures: a first discussion (JPhilippe) - AOB
Participants: Mike K, Markus Z, Sandrine L, Arjan V, Knud DP, Andrea M, Edward N, Michele M, Bernhard A, Jean-Philippe T, Adriaan R (partially).
Minutes:
1.       Review of actions of last week (For details see MP3 logbook)
+ Number of MP3 actions is still around 2.2 actions per 24 hours and no decreasing tendency.
+ 6/08 (& other occurrences) Loss of QPS_OK due to buffer filling problem. This problem is self curing but the MP3 piquet is sometimes called during the night. It is not easy to fix so we’ll have to live with it. Instruction to give to EIC to avoid spurious phone calls: In case of loss of QPS_OK, wait 5/10 minutes before calling MP3
+ 7/08 : RQ8.R6 : trip / heaters were fired. The cause was finally traced back to a PC issue.
+ 8/08 : RCO.A56B1 tripped and RCD followed (nothing special)
+ 9/08: Lost the sector 6-7 finally traced back to loss of communication.
+ 11/08: RQ5.L2B2: Quench heaters were triggered. Discharge is normal. U_res was noisy and caused the trip. Spare board is available.
+ 11/08: RCBCV6.R3B1 tripped due to PC auxiliary power supply ; decided to remove it from PIC and not proceed to intervention. This point triggered a discussion on a procedure that MP3 should manage to ensure that if a circuit is super-superlocked by MP3, it cannot be reused without MP3 authorization. This has to be followed at a next meeting.
Outside of meeting : see entry in MP3 logbook 14/08/2010 09:35 for pictures.” An auxiliary power supply for RCBCV6.R3B1 has been changed by EPC. It has been put back in PIC and is used. I see no trace of test in the logbook. From timber, we see that a cycle was performed and the circuit is used (but at low current : -1.55 A)”
+ General: EIC are getting used to sending logging and switching boards. That’s good news.
2.       AOB
+ Check of the splices status has to be done, especially the bad ones and their evolution. No time needed on the LHC but analysis has to be done. This has to be done systematically. This has to be followed at a next meeting.
+ Mainly boards A are used. It is suggested to have some running period on boards B so their status can be checked and they can be replaced preventively. This has to be followed at a next meeting
+ The point on procedure update is postponed to a next meeting.
3.       Next meeting
Many MP3 members will be present so a meeting will likely be organised by JPh T on the 18th of August. Agenda will be sent.
Outside the meeting : There will be a short status report of MP3 at LMC on 18th of August afternoon
