Forschungsschwerpunkt (FSP) and Backgorund of this event
"Erforschung von Universum und Materie Forschungsschwerpunkt" (ErUM-FSP) is a federal funding program for different fields. The federal ministery of science and education in Germany defines several focused points of research called "Forschungsschwerpunkt". There is one FSP for each big experiment at LHC.
Without the pandemic situation there is an anual meeting for the German ALICE FSP (In this case German does not mean nationality but being part of one of the german ALICE groups). In 2020 for the first time there was planned a "FSP-Nachwuchsretreat", a meeting for and from the German ALICE Juniors community. One goal is to promote young scientists and the networking in between them.
We are planning to let this event take place in 2021 in real life. If you take an interest in planning such a meeting or want to know what can be contributed, feel free to get in touch with the ALICE FSP Coordinator Marcus Mikorski (marcus.mikorski@cern.ch).
For now we want to start with this social retreat event to get people together and we are looking forward to meet each other in real life during the first "FSP-Nachwuchsretreat".
