MP3 Meeting on 8 September 2010

Presents: Reiner D, Michele M, Edward N, Giorgio d’A, Nuria C, Sandrine le N, Adiaan R, Adrzej S, Richard M, Zinur C, Markus Z, JP Tock (partially).

 

Minutes(minimal; refer to slides):

1)      IPQ Measurement Status (Richard: see slides): Measurements in R8 were repeated where necessary (electronic switch error). Wht is still messing is: LR5, LR6 (NOTE: no IPQ in LR1, LR3 and LR7).

 

2)      Discussion on 4 MB quench event during last technical stop (Nuria : see slides)

 

3)      Splice measurements of A23.R2 (Zinur: see slides) Reason of 2^nd quench (propagation after 500 ms ?) not yet clarified.

 

4)      Giorgio showed the PXIELQA measurements layout.  Underlined as a “standard” Dipole splice should be ~0.3 nOhm while an IPQ ~ 0.75 nOhm.

 

5)      Discussion on MP3 missing information. To be improved: decided that the MP3 that presenciate the 8:30 meeting, will send an emay with SUMMARY at the MPP-CCC mailing list.
