Null is different: probing Lorentzian dynamics with light-ray operators

I will discuss some basic properties and applications of the light-ray operators in unitary, Lorentzian CFTs. These operators naturally appear in the description of collider experiments and variations thereof. The algebraic properties of the light-ray operators are related to the dispersive sum rules which received a lot of attention recently in the context of bounds on low-energy, gravitational EFTs.
