Snowmass White Paper (2022)

The main outcome of the meeting will be an "alpha_S Snowmass White Paper (2022)" write-up to be publicly submitted in 15th March 2022. All contributors will be therefore asked to provide a 1-2 pages summary of their work at the end of the workshop.

The document should discuss the new frontiers and ideas of alpha_s extractions, the future plans for comparisons and combinations of alpha_s extractions, the role of the lattice-QCD extraction with the rest of methods, plans for future experiments/observables and theoretical developments as well as associated uncertainties.

The template package alphas_2022_WhitePaper.tar.gz for the contributions of the Snowmass White Paper 2022 (1--2 pages per talk) can be downloaded here:

To prepare your contribution follow these steps after downloading the package:

$> tar -xvzf alphas_2022_WhitePaper.tar.gz

Copy the file YourName.in to the corresponding <yourname>.in where <yourname> is your name in CamelCase. Then find a commented line including <yourname> in alphas_2022_WhitePaper.tex and activate (uncomment) it. It will look like this:

\talkin{YourName.in}{abs:YourName}

Now you are ready to modify the text, add figures, tables, and bibliography. For compilation:

$> pdflatex alphas_2022_WhitePaper.tex

Once you are done, please send your file <yourname>.in (plus figures, if any) to the editors via email.

The deadline for individual contributions is 15 February 2022.

A draft summary of the discussions and summary of the workshop will be provided to all participants via a shared link, so that everybody can contribute and give their opinion.
