We are members of the Facebook group created by Kate Arms called Parents of Gifted and Twice-Exceptional Kids. It's a support group for parents. Twice-exceptional kids are kids who are gifted and also have disability/disabilities such as autism, dyslexia, and ADHD. It is very common for gifted and twice-exceptional children to pursue strong sustained interests in a range of subjects including particle physics. Schools are often unable to nurture these interests that are so asynchronous to their peers and so parents appreciate all the help they can get.
