The conference will take place in Amphithéâtre Descartes, at ENS de Lyon, located 15 parvis René Descartes, 69342 Lyon (note that ENS de Lyon has two nearby locations, so the address is important).
There are several hotels within walking distance from the conference, for example:

We have made pre-reservations for 2-bedroom apartments at the Hotel Residhome Appart Hotel (https://www.residhome.com/residence-hoteliere-aparthotel-lyon-358.html). The price is 89 euros (including breakfast). This is particularly well-suited for students. If you are interested in booking such an apartment, please let us know at loops22@ens-lyon.fr for full details and we will assist you with the booking procedure.
You can find many alternative options on standard booking websites (Booking, Expedia, Kayak, ...), although we recommend contacting directly the hotel as this might save an online booking fee. The recommended locations are:
- Along the Metro Line B, which connects the ENS de Lyon (stop 'Debourg') with the main train station 'Part Dieu'.
- Along the Tramway T1, which connects the ENS de Lyon (stop 'ENS Lyon') with the Confluence district, the train station 'Perrache' and the city center.
- A little further away in the city center (Presqu’île or Vieux Lyon) from which the conference site can be reached by combining metro and tramway.
Lyon has two train stations, 'Part Dieu' and 'Perrache', connected to any major French city and to some European cities as well. You can also reach the train station 'Part Dieu' from the Paris airport 'Charles de Gaulle' if you arrive by air.
You can also arrive directly by air at the Lyon airport 'Saint-Exupéry', which is 30 minutes away (by tram) from the city center.
Covid regulations: When arriving by air, a proof of complete vaccination scheme is sufficient to enter France, regardless of the country of origin. Unvaccinated travellers are required to present a negative test upon arrival, however, this requirement may be lifted for travellers arriving from countries with a moderate circulation of the virus ('green countries') listed here.
