Project Governance and Responsibilities

The Awardee will ensure that an efficient and effective project governing structure is in place throughout the award period to support all critical or significant project activities. Details of this structure will be described in an Institute Management Plan submitted to NSF within 90 days of award and kept up-to-date throughout the lifetime of the Institute. Key personnel are expected to include an Institute Director, a Deputy or Co-Director, and the lead investigator for each participating institution. Other named positions in the Management Plan are considered key personnel and require NSF approval and concurrence. The Management Plan should include the vision, mission, structure, performance goals, and indicators of success, for the Institute. Timelines, milestones, and deliverables, should be included and kept current.
