The Connecting the Dots workshop is a community event intended for presentations, networking and collaboration as well as learning. We hope to establish a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone, free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation, regardless of their background or identity. We wish to gain from a diversity of ideas and perspectives on often complex problems. Disagreement and healthy discussion of differing viewpoints is welcome: the best solutions to hard problems rarely come from a single angle. We value a welcoming, considerate and respectful environment that encourages the open and free exchange of scientific ideas. We expect all workshop participants to respect these guidelines during the workshop and its social events, and encourage participants to reach out to the local organizers or international organizing committee with any concerns that arise.
We strongly condemn the unlawful invasion of Ukraine by Russia that began in February, 2022. Expressions of support for this war of aggression by the Russian state in the context of the workshop and associated events will be considered a violation of the code of conduct. Simultaneously, we welcome the participation of individuals of all nationalities in scientific activities such as this workshop. We expect each workshop participant to be welcoming, considerate and respectful of all other individual participants, regardless of their nationality, political views or the behavior of their governments.
The organizers are committed to addressing any concerns in a timely and fair manner. In extreme cases, we reserve the right to ask individuals in violation of the code of conduct to leave the workshop.
COVID-19 Code of Conduct: It is important to incorporate health and safety into all events. This will enable our community to establish hybrid workshops that all researchers to freely and easily discuss perspectives and novel research. We will follow the campus guidelines and best practices for COVID-19 safety and ask for everyone's help for the safety and comfort of all attendees. These evolve with time and will be communicated closer to the workshop. Currently Princeton University requires that all staff and visitors are vaccinated including a booster shot for those eligible.
