As the workshop is approaching, here is some important information with regard to your trip.
1) With regard to the Covid19 quarantine: as we noticed you, there is no need to request a special exemption for quarantine. However, they require you to use the online system called "Q-code" to enter your vaccination history.
And I found that if your second vaccination was received longer than 14 days, and less than 180 days by the time of entry, you don't need the 3rd booster. However, if it's beyond 180 days from the second shot, you need the 3rd one to be eligible to enter without quarantine.
Q-code site is:

Here is the government statement:
"From ’22.4.1 (Fri), Korean time, not only those who have completed domestic vaccinations, but also those who have completed overseas vaccinations who have not registered their overseas vaccination history with the Korean public health center will be exempted from quarantine if they use the Q-code to enter quarantine information in advance."
2) With regard to the hotel accommodation, the workshop venue is at Grabel Hotel (see the workshop web page, https://indico.cern.ch/e/CERN-KOREA for more info), and we cover all the invited participants during the period of June 5-June11, including breakfast. We take care of all the booking for you, so you don't need to do anything for your accommodation.
However, here is one important request: Since it's during the hot season, we have to guarantee the whole period to the hotel, and if somebody arrives late (barring emergency cases) or leaves early, we will still have to pay the hotel for the full period. But, the government funding cannot be used for paying the dates without occupancy, and we will have to pay it by private pocket money. So we really ask all the participants to stay in the full period.
We will also provide a direct shuttle bus between the workshop hotel and the airport. We will send you more details on the airport shuttle service later.
3) With regard to Covid test (specially relevant for those who come from the US):
Some countries require a negative test in order to re-enter, and we will make an arrangement such that those who need the test can easily obtain the negative test. The workshop venue is not so far away from the testing center.
4) Further info on flight:
Most flights to Jeju are from the Gimpo domestic airport of Seoul on Korean Air (the last flight from Gimpo to Jeju leaves at 8:40pm, and the last flight from Jeju to Gimpo leaves at 10:40pm), and cost around USD200 roundtrip (Korean air:www.koreanair.com, other airlines: https://www.skyscanner.co.kr/transport/flights/gmp/cju/220604/220612/?adults=1&adultsv2=1&cabinclass=economy&children=0&childrenv2=&inboundaltsenabled=false&infants=0&outboundaltsenabled=false&preferdirects=false&ref=home&rtn=1 for cheaper rate now). Thus most of you will likely be flying into Seoul Incheon on your international flight and then taking a paid bus connecting the two airports (it runs every 5 minute and takes ~20 minutes) for your flight to Jeju (there are flight between Seoul and Jeju every 15 minutes, and it takes ~50 minutes each way), so please plan your trip accordingly.
