Description

The large integrated luminosity provided by the LHC during Run 2 allows the experiments to explore with high sensitivity rare and suppressed interaction processes with top quarks that may signal contributions from new physics. The seminar presents new ATLAS searches for flavour-changing neutral current interactions of the top quark with all known elementary neutral bosons, and the first observation of the associated production of a single top quark and a photon. All results are based on the full Run-2 dataset collected with the ATLAS detector.
