III) What's next?: informal discussion of the PTB tasks for the first half of 2011

1) urgent PEB/PTB, project management task: define & fix platform requirement for EMI-I.

This task must be closed latest by end of next week.

2) The main priority of the project in the first few months is the EMI-I release. The (development) plans for EMI-I are fixed. EMI-I code freeze date is end of February. Note, by that time certified packages must be delivered to SA1!

3) DNA1.3.2, an update to the Technical Development Plan is due  March 2011.

Intensive work with the involvement of all PTB members is planned for the first two weeks of March.

4) Area workplan updates due in April.

Note: Balazs and Morris will make sure this time no "format/template" issues will surface.

5) M12 (April) is also an important deadline for many EMI agreements.

Technical agreements need PTB approval (and some monitoring).

6) After EMI-I is out, starting in March, PTB should intensively focus on the discussion of convergence, simplification, reduction. Year 2 is THE year when EMI should achieve major cut and the PTB needs to take decision, this spring.

7) Short(er) term requests may come continuously (has come) from EGI. One example is the "EGI User Community Requirements" EMI must respond to by 19 January. EGI also keeps asking for different roadmaps, development plans (to be clarified)

8) Other continuous PTB activity: Overview of Product Teams. After EMI-I we may consider some drastic simplification there as well
