Roundtable:
Ignacio: The IT department is going a global reorganization which affects everybody. By now, we have a new structure per group, and there are a lot of internal meetings. Officially, it will be implemented on the 1st of June. May is a transition month.
Please, let us know if there are any issues with the support, since they might be affected for a (possible) handover of services.
EOS should not be affected. For others, like Monitoring or Elasticsearch, they are moving to different groups.
Xavi will take a higher role, in the management of the Business Engagement part. All these things are being discussed, and it will all be added.
Stu: Getting ready for the data challenge. Setting up a new virtual circuit, to transfer from EOS to Ferimlab traffic. I've been given the information of how it is defined. I'd like to check the flags (ipv4, ipv6), to see if they are correct. When this was done several years ago, there was a perf3 server to test. There was a ticket about this. Should i send a new ticket?
Ignacio: We have to identify who was working on this from the CERN side (Edoardo Martelli or Marian Babik). On Friday, I'll talk to Marian, so, if this is not urgent, we can wait until that moment, and then move on.
Stu: yes, sure. I'll send the details by mail later on.
Elisabetta: Continuing with the test, no particular issues to mention.
Ignacio: Next meeting: 1st of June. Let's see if I can have Xavi coming to that meeting.
(Wednesday)
Ignacio announced the new structure of IT. The 'Technical groups' is what is being implemented right now. The part of the coordination with the experiments is still being discussed. Xavi might present and clarify this in the next meeting.
Mike: Planning on doing data challenge in June, without interfering with other teams. For network monitoring, are there any dashboards that we could use to monitor the traffic? For the FTS and the transfers in the DAQ.
Steven: We used to have a view into the switch. Marian knows the details.
Pablo: For the FTS part, I'm sure that the team has something there. We can get in contact witht hem to see what they have.
Ignacio: With the reorganization, the monitoring is now part of my group, so we will look into this
Steven: If we need new graphs, whom should I contact?
Ignacio: After June, it will eventually be me. We still have to do the takeover. For the network, we have to get more details
Pablo: As far as I know, Marian knows all those details
Mike: Is there anything that I'm not thinking of that we should be monitoring?
Ignacio: I think it is
Pablo: Should we contact the FTS people?
Ignacio: At the moment, this is Luca and Steve Murray. At the same time that we get the list of people for the monitoring, we can get the list of people for the FTS
Steven; It would be nice to have everything in one central dashboard
Steven: Nothing else. Lot of data going through CERN in June.
Mike: Our collaboration meeting is 16-29th. We could organize a meeting on the 25th
