Ph.D. in physics from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1985.

He has joined in the CMS Collaboration since 1994, working on the software, RPC muon system, physics analysis, the Muon Publication & Conference Board and the TOP/BPH Editorial Board of Publication Committee in various periods. He has been serving as a CERN and CMS guide since 2004, enjoys to explain the CMS, LHC, CERN and particle physics, etc. to general public. He has translated a popular science book "Who cares about particle physics? Making sense of the Higgs boson, the Large Hadron Collider and CERN"(authored by Pauline Gagnon)"  into Chinese which was published in 2020.
