How to reach the workshop

The meeting will take place at IJCLab (Laboratoire de Physique des 2 infinis Irène Joliot Curie) on the Orsay campus (map) of the University of Paris-Saclay

The campus is located 25 km South of Paris, and can be reached easily by train (Gare de Lyon for trains from Geneva for example) or plane (Aeroport d'Orly -- the closest from Orsay or Aeroport Roissy-Charles de Gaulle) and then by local transportation.

From Paris, the easiest way to come to the campus is to take the RER line B local train and stop at the station "Orsay-Ville".

From Paris, take a train with direction "Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse" or "Orsay-Ville". It takes 30 - 40 minutes to reach Orsay. Tickets can be bought at automatic machines in every station, specifying the station Orsay-Ville (tickets for subways in Paris do not work to go to Orsay). The price for one trip Paris-Orsay is 4,45 EUR (or 35,60 EUR for a 'carnet' of 10 tickets); it is recommanded to buy at least two tickets in Paris (one for the way back) since the ticket machine in Orsay is often not functioning. Do not take trains with direction "Massy-Palaiseau" (they stop before arriving in Orsay) or with direction "Robinson" (they go to a different direction).

In Orsay, there is a new exit of the RER station at the very end of the platform, arriving directly in front of building 100, from which building 200 is also easily accessible.

Note that on the Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th, the RER B line will be interrupted between the "Aulnay-sous-Bois" and "Gare du Nord" stations, i.e. it will be impossible to reach Paris or Orsay from the Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport with the RER B train. To go to Paris, you can take a bus called Roissybus, to go to the Opera in Paris and from there use the subway system. To go to Orsay, you can take replacement busses B5 which are direct to "Stade de France - Saint Denis" station and from there take the RER D line to "Gare du Nord" where there is a connection to the RER B line (which will work as usual between "Gare du Nord" and "Orsay-Ville" stations). There is also the option to take a taxi to "Gare du Nord", which costs about 60 Euros. Details can be found here (pay attention to choose an official taxi as explained in this page)

The RER B line will also be interrupted between the Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle aiport and the Gare du Nord stations after 22:45 in the evening between Decembre 12th and December 31st.

Registration

There is no registration fee. Coffee breaks and lunches are covered by the organizers. An optional workshop dinner is organized on Tuesday evening in Paris, for a price of 59 EUR to pay by cash to the organizers, at the registration desk on Monday morning (in building 200, from 8:30): the participation to the dinner can be indicated in the registration form.

Lunches

Lunches will be served on Monday and Tuesday at one of the campus CESFO cantine, close to building 200, at 13:15. On Wednesday, a lunch box will be provided (if requested in the registration form) and a room close to the meeting room will be available to have lunch together.

Workshop Dinner

The workshop dinner will take place on the Tuesday 13th in Paris at the Coupole restaurant, at 19:30. The restaurant is close to the "Vavin" metro station on the line 4, which is connected to the RER B line at the "Denfert-Rochereau" station (when coming to Orsay, the same ticket can be reused for the connection from the RER B line to the subway line 4).
