There is financial support available for students, early career scientists and speakers for travel and accommodation. Please let us know if you want to avail this for the workshop.
Due to a sports event all the campus guest houses are fully booked. However, there are a many hotels and guesthouses in the area. Here are a few suggestions:
Vasant Continental (link)
This is a hotel conveniently located three metro stops from IIT Delhi next to the Basant Lokh market which contains several bars and restaurants, as well as a cinema multiplex. This is a more expensive option that then other hotels on the list, please do not book this if the workshop will reimburse your stay.
Rockland Hotels (link)
There are two hotels, one in Pancheel enclave 2 metro stops from IIT Delhi, and one in CR Park, a couple of more metro stops away, in a buzzling area with plenty of restaurants etc.
Their rates: Single INR2700-5000, Double: INR3000-5500.
Hotel Shyama International (link)
This is located at walking distance from the IIT Delhi campus next to the SDA market which also contains several bars and restaurants.

Arriving to Delhi via air
There is a metro station for the Magenta Line that connects directly with IIT Delhi. The station is located near Terminal 1 (international flights arrive to Terminal 3).
For Taxi we recommend to use the taxi stands outside the airport. These are: Government Taxi a black and yellow stand where you pay for your journey beforehand. Meru Cabs, and Mega Cabs, they will cost a bit more and here you pay at arrival. Uber and Ola are also available and for them you need to go to the designated app taxi area.
International guests who want a local phone should buy one with a sim-card inside the airport before exiting. Getting it outside the airport later is very complicated.
Arriving to Delhi via Train to New Delhi Train Station
There is a metro station next to the train station. Change in Hauz Khas to the magenta line for IIT Delhi. For taxis there are prepaid taxis and uber and ola available. The tip is to leave the station area before getting the taxi, as given the traffic the station area may take ~1h to leave by car.
