Access to CERN
If you have a CERN access card and a registered vehicle, you can enter through Gate B which is the only gate opened on weekends.
Otherwise, you have to enter CERN site through CERN reception, located in front of the Globe of Science and Innovation across Route de Meyrin.
You will get your badge at CERN reception to be allowed to enter CERN site. Your personal badge must be worn visibly at all times during your stay within CERN site.
CERN Reception is just in front of the tram stop (line 18, CERN stop, terminus)
A free car park is available. When coming from Geneva, leave the main road on the right at the roundabout, before you pass next to the big Science Gateway tubes, drive around the construction site to reach the car park which is located behind the Globe of Science and Innovation. You can walk along the Globe, then cross the Route de Meyrin to reach Reception. Do not try to enter CERN site with your vehicle. You won’t be allowed to enter.
