Description

The ECFA Early Career Researcher panel is hosting a networking event & panel discussion on careers in instrumentation.

Please register on indico to get the connection details.

The panel discussion will focus on the topic of careers in instrumentation, with three panelists reflecting on their journey in HEP and in industry:

Prof. Dr. Erika Garutti (Uni Hamburg, CMS, CALICE, MADMAX)

Dr. Susanne Kuehn (CERN staff physicist, ATLAS)

Dr. Niklaus Lehmann (Analog ASIC Designer, DECTRIS Ltd.)

Discussion Panel: We will have a moderated discussion using questions gathered from the early-career researcher community. The focus will be on how the panelists have built their careers, and any topics you’d like to bring up related to working in instrumentation. We will also be taking live questions, these will also be moderated and we will have dedicated time to cover them during the event.

Networking after the Discussion: We will have break out rooms to speak to the panelists one-on-one - a remote version of a coffee break. There will also be the opportunity to network with other ECRs, and to give feedback about what kind of events you would like to see in the future, or other resources we could provide to the community.

Please submit your questions here both before and during the panel discussion and the moderators will include them in the discussion.

If you are interested in being informed about the other activities of the ECFA Early-Career Researcher panel, please subscribe to our ecfa-ecr-announcements@cern.ch mailing list.
