Description
We present the results of first searches for new physics with the 2010 LHC pp-collision data at sqrt{s} = 7 TeV with the CMS detector. Just after a few months of operations, the sensitivity achieved in this searches already exceeds that at the LEP and Tevatron and solidly enters new territory of sensitivity. We focus on the following searches for new physics: strongly produced objects decaying into a pair of jets, quark compositeness, extra spatial dimensions, leptoquarks, additional gauge bosons, long-lived particles, and fourth generation of matter.
