Description

HYBRID SEMINAR IN 13-2-005 AND ZOOM

Abstract:

bPOL12V is a radiation-hard DCDC converter that has been developed over several years, going through a non-negligible amount of issues along the path. This seminar will start with a brief overview of what a DCDC converter is, how and why we moved on from the previous ASIC (FEAST), and the choice of the High-Voltage technology. We will then focus on how bPOL12V has been tested for reliability and radiation tolerance (Total Ionising Dose, Displacement Damage and Single Event Effects), the issues we faced, and how we addressed them at chip and PCB level.

Zoom details are also in the invitation email.
