TestPoint : a Python based automation test bench for instrumentation Zoom conference room (Virtual Event)

      Zoom conference room

      Virtual Event

The Electronics Pool evaluates, procures, maintains and supports a large catalogue of instruments whose verification test procedures are mostly automated.
TestPoint is a new software designed by Vincent and Markus suited to different test benches using a variety of reference instruments. TestPoint is based on Python which is open source and portable. The flexibility offered by Python as well as a convenient SW structure are the key elements of this program to easily adapt the test procedures to new instrument references. The whole program and especially the instruments library are shared among the service members allowing to work in a collaborative manner with increased efficiency.
Based on this S/W, we are going to further develop the TestPoint application as well as a collection of libraries for frequently used instruments that could also be shared with ePool customers.
In this seminar we will present the architecture of the S/W suite as well as the plans for the future.

Speakers: Markus Joos (CERN), Vincent Gatto (CERN)
