Description

ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) is one of the four large experiments at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN.  It is designed to study collisions of heavy ions at relativistic energies.  ALICE is installed at Point 2 of LHC, 56 m below ground, on the border between St. Genis-Pouilly and Sergy, in France.  The virtual visit includes a tour of the underground experimental installations and of the control room on the surface.
