The Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory, building the World’s largest ground-based gamma-ray observatory

I will provide a general overview of the CTAO: its scientific scope, the detection technique, the organization that is in charge of its construction, the sites and the instrumentation that is going to constructed, the different types of telescopes specialized on different scientific objectives. The construction is going to start in a few months and interesting opportunities to contribute are still open.
