The workshop venue is at the congress center of Cima Sappada (where the Etnograpich museum is also located), one of the "borgate" of Sappada, located at the East end of the valley. The valley itself is 4-5 km long thus hotels and restaurants may be between 30min and 1h on foot from the workshop venue.
Walking along Sappada is very pleasant, especially along the old road passing through the borgate, uphill on the North side of the Piave river. In addition, there is another very convenient path along the river itself. Given these alternatives, it is recommended to avoid the main road while walking along the valley.
The last segment to get to Cima Sappada can be done following a dedicated footpath along the mountain meadows and away from road traffic.
As examples we provide two recommended tracks to get to the workshop venue, one Hotel Haus Michaela (about 30 minutes) and the other from from Bach Boutique Hotel (about 50 minutes).
Car rides will also be organised to go back and forth from the venue, people willing to profit from those are invited to contact Marco Zanetti (marco.zanetti@cern.ch +39 347 6812413) and Alberto Zucchetta (a.zucchetta@cern.ch +39 346 3631083).
