  2. The conference registration fee will cover 2 tea/coffee breaks per day, Monday-Friday September 25-29, 2023, a reception Monday evening September 25, a conference dinner on Thursday September 28, and airport transfers in George. 
  3. Lodging accommodation: 50 rooms are blocked at the Protea Hotel, for ACP2023 participants, at reduced rates, using the Ref. Number: 1128839. Other hotels are available, within the vicinity of the venue, here  https://science.mandela.ac.za/Conferences/ACP-2023. In-person participants are encouraged to make their own hotel arrangements, unless prior agreement was made with the conference organizers to cover your hotel.
  4. There are many options for tourism activities, which you may arrange at your own charge,  https://science.mandela.ac.za/Conferences/ACP-2023. We recommend full attention to the conference proceedings, and to arrange your tourism activities for week(end) before and/or after the conference.
  5. Lawrence Norris will look into options for academic excursions, e.g. to Cape Town or an SKA site. We will update the conference information when these details are available. 
  6. The LOC will prepare and send letters of invitation to 1) the invited speakers and organizers, 2) speakers of contributed talks and 3) in-person participants. 
  7. Abstract submission is open until June 30, 2023. A member of the organizing committee may submit an abstract for a contributed talk. All abstracts will be reviewed in early July and the authors of selected abstracts will be informed and receive invitation letters.  
  8. We will circulate a table where people who wish to be picked up / dropped off at the airport in George may enter their arrival and departure details. 
  9. We expect in-person participants to arrive on Sunday September 24, to facilitate arrangements for airport pickups.
  10. A number of invited speakers have not confirmed. We ask the relevant committee members to follow up and if necessary, seek replacements.

      Conference reception and dinner 15m

      The conference reception will take place at the venue on Monday September 25 during the session organized by the early career physicists.

      The conference dinner will take place on Thursday September 28. A keynote speech is planned during the conference dinner.

      The conference reception and dinner will be hosted at the conference venue, the Protea Hotel.

      Options for excursions will be arranged for Saturday September 30. People who wish to do an excursion will be pay for it at their own charge.

      Invitation letters and entrance visa 15m

      The invitation letters will be prepared and sent by the LOC. People who need entrace visa for South Africa are encouraged to apply for the visa early as soon as they received their letter.

      Contributed abstracts and selections 15m

      The contributed abstracts will be reviewed after the deadline of June 30. The authors of selected abstracts will also received invitation letters.

      Please encourage your invited speakers to register and submit their talk title and abstract.

      You, as a member of the organizing committee, should register.

      Registered participants who are not speakers (invited or contributed), not session chairs, or not LOC members, but wish to attend the event in-person, may need invitation letters. We will query the registrants to identify these people.
