Description

Workshop Description

First edition of a workshop exploring the benefits of using software automation to improve efficiency in scientific experiments and facilities. The primary objective of this workshop is to delve into the advantages of employing software automation solutions to enhance efficiency. In the first part of the workshop, we will closely examine selected automation use-cases and draw upon practical experiences from the CERN Controls System. Following this, we will engage in interactive discussions and conclude with a roundup of solutions from the workshop participants.

Intended audience

Controls systems software engineers, operations coordinators, system analysts.

Organizational Details

We are at the moment preparing the agenda. There will be mainly two sessions: a first one with an introductory tutorial and a second one where participants will have the chance to present in an informal setup their work. This can include completed or ongoing projects, problems that need a solution, questions on a topic, etc
