Description

Located at SuperKEKB, an asymmetric $e^{+} e^{-}$ collider and the world’s first super B-Factory, the Belle II experiment is searching for evidence of new physics at the precision frontier. Since recording of physics data commenced in 2019, SuperKEKB has claimed the record as the world’s highest luminosity particle collider while steadily approaching its target integrated luminosity of 50 ab$^{-1}$ —a factor of 40 times larger than the combined datasets of the previous B-Factory experiments! The unique, experimentally clean environment, coupled with enhanced detector performance and specialised dark sector triggers, allow Belle II to pursue a vast physics program. This talk will present highlights of recent Belle II physics results and also report on the ongoing activities of Canadian groups contributing to Belle II.
