The weekly meeting of the Software Process and Infrastructure project of the LCG/AA.

Minutes of the SPI project meeting 6. March 2007 ================================================== Yves Perrin + Actions done and progress - got my Windows machine upgraded to XP - re-installed a few applications (e.g COREL suite, Putty, etc) after the upgrade - designed some banners for the SPI wiki pages - answered questions from users regarding email interface to Savannah, notification message format, user ISP banned IPs, use of full names instead of login names in item lists, etc - edited (locally) the wiki template and wiki pages in view of changing the look and feel (e.g. banner, colors, etc) + Next actions - SPI web and wiki pages re-organization with Stefan ================================================== Ian McLaren + Actions done and progress - Geant4 - Built and installed Geant4 8.2.ref02 development releases for - slc3_ia32_gcc323, sol8_CC55 and slc4_amd64_gcc34. - Geant4 testing. - Cernlib - Packaged the build for MacOSX on Intel using Cernlib 2006 for - gfortran/gcc4 prepared by F. Carminati for Alice and made it - available from the Cernlib WEB site. + Next actions - Geant4 - Geant4 testing. + Problems & AOB ================================================== Stefan Roiser + Actions done - Nightly builds - Several small changes for the production version - changed "owner" from pfeiffer to lcgspi - A network interruption from Mon/Tue caused problems. The builds were restarted Tue morning. - Windows build - Try out of the IT WoD (windows on demand) service. We could rent virtual machines from there and install our nightly build system on them. So far, a machine has been setup and the nightly build system gets ported to windows. - Checking with Oliver Keeble the Grid rpm repository which should become the source for the LCG / AA / externals - Ported gccxml to a french version of gcc (the find_flags script was not working anymore) Apparently the CVS version of gccxml already contains this fix. - CLHEP in externals contains debug symbold (found by ATLAS) The fix so far was to "strip" the existing libs. They are given back to ATLAS for try out. Once we are confident that everything works we can install this version in the non debug dir of the externals of CLHEP + Next actions - Windows nightly build system setup ==================================================
