The talk aims to explore the role of the UK fusion programme in the research and development, and adoption of fusion energy. With an increasing global demand for clean and sustainable energy solutions, fusion energy has emerged as a promising energy source that is safe, low carbon and sustainable. The talk will explore fusion energy development’s main challenges, the areas where public and private entities can collaborate effectively to foster innovative solutions and accelerate the development of fusion energy technologies, the role of governments and industry play in advancing fusion, and the potential benefits of public-private partnerships in this field.
