      • Drilling works near B918 5m

Drilling works in the ECN3 and TCC8 area as part of a Hydrogeological study required for the implementation of the high intensity facility. The drilling of the boreholes Pie1 and Pie2 is scheduled from 20th November until 8th December. During this period, the existing parking in front of B918 will be used for site installation purposes. Users requested to park in the first parking area. The borehole located to the close vicinity of the B918 will be drilling in the first weeks, between the 20th and 28th of November, while a passage of 1.5m will be kept free as requested.

        • Very succesfull 2023 run. All experiments quite happy, very nice results.
        • Extremely beneficial the "dedicated" runs, i.e only 1xSFTPRO & HiRadMat --> This should continue next year
        • In all cases, this year, HiRadMat was finished < the week, we provided also part of our beamtime to AWAKE and to MDs :)
        • Next year :
          • 5 (4) slots, 1 week for Fireball-II, 1x2 weeks for HLDTE  + 1 contigency,1 week  BLM + SMAUG2 and 1 last slot possibly at the end of the year. Discussions for it to be moved in early 2025.
