The University of Oxford
From Hawkings to Hooke, Tolkien to Tim Berners-Lee, the University of Oxford has been home to many since its foundation in 1096. Comprising 39 independent colleges spread across the city, the University has a long tradition of welcoming international scholars and researchers.
It is in this spirit that the Allpix Squared User Workshop will be held, embracing some of the many words written about the home of Hobbits and realms reached through antique furniture:
At Oxford one was positively encouraged to take wine during tutorials. The tongue must be untied
The workshop will be held in the Denys Wilkinson Building, previous home to Oxford’s very own Van de Graaff accelerator, and current home to the sub-department of Particle Physics.
