How to get to Glasgow
- By plane:
- Glasgow Airport (GLA): Connected to Glasgow city centre via airport bus 500 (https://www.glasgowairport.com/to-and-from/bus/), open return £16. There are also taxis waiting outside the terminal (~£30 to city centre)
- Edinburgh Airport (EDI): Airport bus (AIR) to Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station (in city centre), open return £26.50 (https://www.edinburghairport.com/transport-links/buses-and-coaches/glasgow-bus-links). Alternative tram and bus link to Edinburgh city centre and then trains to Glasgow.
- By train:
- Glasgow has two main train station that are in the city centre: Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street.
Workshop location on campus
The workshop will take place in room 253 in the Gilbert Scott building, which is the main building. The map below shows you how to best get to the room. Look for a door in the far south-west corner of the West Quadrangle. When you go through the door, take an immediate left and look for signs to room 253.
Where to stay
We don't have a recommended hotel for participants. The workshop is held in the main building of the University of Glasgow (google maps). Many hotels are in walking distance from campus or can be reached by public transport (bus and subway) (google maps).
