Guidelines for Presentations

Welcome to Young Astronomers’ Meet 2024 – a gathering of bright minds in astronomy! We are thrilled to embark on this collaborative journey, where knowledge converges, and innovative ideas take center stage. Let the exploration of the cosmos and the exchange of cutting-edge research begin! While preparing for the conference, please remember to keep the following guidelines in mind.

Talks

Prepare for an engaging 15-minute talk at YAM '24! You will have 12 minutes to present your research and 3 minutes for interactive discussions with the audience. Captivate your audience with insightful content and be ready for stimulating conversations during the Q&A session.

Offline Poster Presentations

Design your poster on an A0 size in portrait orientation. The posters will be displayed at the poster venue for the entire duration of the conference. You will also have an opportunity to present your poster as a flash presentation in the designated session. The time allotted for each flash presentation is 3 minutes. You may prepare a maximum of 3 slides to highlight key aspects of your poster. Be concise and make your presentation memorable!

Online E-Poster Presentations

For participants allotted E-Poster presentations, design your E-poster in landscape orientation (preferably 16:9 aspect ratio). E-posters will be showcased on screens at the poster venue for the entire duration of the conference. You will also have an opportunity to present your poster as a presentation in the designated session. The time allotted for each presentation is 3 minutes.  Ensure your presentation is visually appealing and effectively communicates your research. Participants allotted E-posters will be able to attend the entire conference online via Google Meet only.

We request the participants to adhere to the specified presentation guidelines and poster dimensions.

We will be creating a Slack channel where the participants allocated posters and e-posters can share their posters!
