. ECR for pillar installation in SPS: needs finalisation and submission from Yann. One of the comments from Sonia is that they would like a specs document for reference. Edu will do so. Pillar will be moved to NA in two weeks for stability tests with CW laser and small interferometer. Installation of pillar in SPS is planned in the next YETS. It will be done over half a day.
. Meeting with Yann and Edu and Gianluigi to be planned to understand how to progress on design of the optical cavity mechanics. One aspect is to ensure no interference with the pillar location in the SPS.
. Tender for amplifier and laser modulation scheme to be out for the summer and delivery by mid next year. Laser room design on hold at this time. Will take time. FG comments that this is a big piece of work that need to be done and planned in advance. Answer is that the installation will not occur within LS3 also given additional constraints (removal of concrete blocks through TI18 during LS3)
. Meantime the laser transport line requires some work on vacuum and controls. It involves cabling requests. They will be pushed post-deadline but that is ok. Controls and cabling requests won't be finalised around September. The design of laser transport will exploit synergies with the approved and funded work for AWAKE.
. AM: gave some news with results that are progressing with 2-mirror cavity that are surpassing the previous results obtained with 4-mirror cavity. More news when work is finalised. The work with 4-mirror cavity is now published in Applied Physics Letters.
. DB mentioned that Li-like Pb investigations at Heidelberg MPIK are planned. Measurements of 2s-2p hyperfine structure could be done there, which is of interest for the GF-POP. Dima is asking about the possibility to store Pb207 in SPS and perform studies with it. He discussed that with Witek who said that must be possible. No further answer could be provided by the participants of the meeting.
. Peter : still working on simulations related to cooling and on how to improve the description of the laser in his simulations, including chirp. Discussions are further planned with AM in the coming weeks.
. Next meetings are to be planned, probably after the summer.
