Nested soft-collinear subtraction reinvented
by
In this presentation, I will provide an overview of the current state of subtraction schemes within NNLO QCD, addressing the inherent challenges in such endeavors. Specifically, I will focus on the 'Nested Soft-Collinear Subtraction Scheme,' which has proven successful in computing higher-order corrections for many relevant process in the realm of LHC phenomenology.
Moreover, I will present the ongoing efforts aimed at enhancing the applicability of the nested soft-collinear approach to generic processes. This entails a systematic reorganization of the subtraction procedure, which allows us to tackle processes involving an arbitrary number of colored particles in the final state. Importantly, this refined approach not only extends the scope of application but also enables the analytical demonstration of pole cancellations at NNLO for generic processes.
