Salient points

  1. Bjorn submitted and presented an update of the Earth Physics chapter, completer with the references. Kétévi integrated the new version into Overleaf.
  2. Tjaart presented a draft of the biophysics chapter, already included in Overleaf.
  3. On the “Women in Physics” chapter, Iroka reported that only the references are missing; she said that Marie-Chantal agreed to take care of the references.
  4. Gihan has been working on the “Light Sources & Applications” chapter. When ready, it is will be imported in Overleaf. She would like to have a snapshot of the other completed chapters for the purpose of citing them in the light sources chapter.
  5.  Ghita included a small section on AI / ML in the computing chapter but would like to solicit inputs from the community—Kétévi will contact Mourad Telmini.
  6. Oumar agreed to prepare a text of the Observers’ feedback to be included in the report; Peter said would be happy to read it and comment for improvement.
  7. Ulrich will check with his co-conveners on recent developments in the “Instrumentation & Detectors” chapter, particularly on the inclusion of references which are currently missing.
  8. Uli reported on the need for more inputs on “Physics Education”. Kétévi will follow up with Bertrand.
  9. Ghita suggested that in sharing snapshots of the reports, we should suppress the empty chapters to view of the useful content of the report.
  10. We agreed that each chapter should have a complete list of contributing authors, as already implemented in the template: 1) the list of the contributing co-conveners, 2) the list of other contributors to that chapter.
  11. Our next meeting will on February 7 at 15:00 CAT.
