      Class A Labs

      • Cooling upgrades still planned starting next week incuding a ventilation stop for 1 week during week 26 (June 24th-28th ventilation stop)
      • Roof work scaffolding instalation starting today
      • Dismantaling of dump thermocouple shifted again, now foreseen Thursday a.m. in R-002
      • Visit this Friday from OFSP

      MEDICIS

      • LAST WEEK
      • #847M → Ra-225 mass separation
      • Retrieval happened yesterday and foils were shipped to NPL and to IRA this morning.
        • 112 MBq for NPL and 2 MBq for IRA
        • 52% efficiency record efficiency !
      • Direct irradiation of #834M for Tb run to produce Tb-155 combined with an indirect one.
        • Total of 3E18 poT (half direct and half indirect).

      • THIS WEEK
      • As target #834 M failed, there is no Tb beam this week.
      • We will wait for the water on the floor to dry.
      • And place #847M again (the one used for the last Ra run) on the FE.
      • Idea is to check again the vacuum issue that happened at the end of last week and if possible, look at Ac laser ionisation as Jake is here with us this week.

    • 14:30 14:40
      Targets, Schedule and Physics 10m
Speakers: Hanne Heylen (CERN), Mia Au, Sebastian Rothe (CERN)

      Schedule

Plans for next 2 weeks have been modified, agreed with all involved parties.

      Physics

On GPS, the physics runs ended on Thursday. 9Li beam was sent to IDS for precise beta-decay measurements in the context of reactor neutrino experiments. Unfortunately, there are some issues with their charged particle detectors meaning the data is of lower quality than hoped for. Every few hour, the measurements were interrupted for a short collection of 75Ga (which decays to 75Ge)  in diamond samples on GLM. These samples are used "offline" to study quantum color centers by emission channeling measurements and PL in the hours afterwards. The users were happy with the obtained data. On HRS,  CRIS aimed to perform laser spectroscopy on Au isotopes, but over the weekend, they didn't manage to find any resonance, due to the malfunctioning of the stable Au mass markers, it was hard to diagnose the issue. They will try again with a new target, including the Au mass marker, after the technical stop.

      Safety

      - Filling CEC filling by COLLAPS tomorrow 10 AM

    • 14:40 14:50
      Safety 10m
Speakers: Alexandre Dorsival (CERN), Elodie Aubert (CERN), Nadine Conan (CERN), Simon Mataguez (CERN)
    • 14:50 15:00
      AOBs and visits 10m
      • Telescopic camera exchange during Tech. Stop ?
      • Request from the coordinator to put the trend temperature log of the TP for the HRS FE in the logbook. Data before summer, also to see if anything that can be correlated to MEDICIS targets failure.
