      Last week operation : Sb for CRIS 

      • Laser system stable almost the whole week and weekend.  Minor adjustments only.

       

      Current week operation : Zn for TISD and ISS 

      • Lasers switched from Sn to Zn yesterday and optimized this morning. Measurement by target team ongoing for yield characterization.

      Last week, Tm stable tests were performed as part of Ralitsa PhD.

      In paralleel, 860M has been irradiated indirectly from Thursday and over the weekend (4E18) and directly between Monday morning and Tuesday morning with low intensity of 0.15 uA.

      No water leak. Operation started this morning. We went through an outgassing phase but now vacuum is good enough to proceed. Lasers (on Dy) have been set-up yesterday by Cyril and Manikanta. They will be switched to Tb later during the week.

      This week is dedicated to a collection of Dy/Tb-155 for CHUV.

      Physics

      On HRS, neutron-deficient Sb isotopes around Z = 50 were studied via laser spectroscopy at CRIS. The run went relatively well, and despite struggling with contamination of In on some of the masses of interest, they managed to extract the physics goals, so the users were happy.

      Schedule

      • Can we confirm separator course Mon 9/12 - Tue 10/12 (2 separators, 12 participants?). Would it be possible to organise a session for the locals, if necessary on Wed 11.
      • For HIE-ISOLDE schedule at end of the year: Monday 11/11 already.
